Parallel Approval Capability

Hi BC Community,

I am in need of a parallel approval workflow in Business Central. I have read the forums and understand the basic functionality does not exist in BC - so I am looking for either:

3rd party application that is suggested/recommended for the process below
Suggestions on customization - I assume it would be in approvals mgmt. codeunit - and maybe searching against a specific workflow code + sequence # to allow it to be fully approved

Our scenario is: we have 3 approvers

Step 1: Approver 1

Step 2: Approver 2 OR Approver 3 (whomever approves first)

I am looking for functionality to support this.

If you are in BC online i would recommend you look into using Power Automate for this.

And in the upcoming 2023 Release Wave 1 it is said that the approval workflows using Power Automate will be further improved.

Hi, If it's just the following requirements, I think the standard functions can do it.

Step 1: Approver 1

Step 2: Approver 2 OR Approver 3 (whomever approves first)

You can search for the keyword Workflow User Groups.

Thank you Zhu, but I don't believe this works as intended. The flow above will require both approvers in sequence 2 to approve before proceeding.

Thanks to our partner - they helped me identify that I could change the condition for Pending Approvals as below to get the outcome required.

It also require Approve the approval request for the record as part of the remove record restriction step, to clear approvals in queue for the approver.

This was an odd one, but thank you as always for your guidance and insight!
