Hi Team,

I have setup the tax in US tenant for my client. Tax setup, Tax area, Tax group all I have setup and tax is getting calculated in the system. But here on Sales order its not taking the tax amount. can anyone tell me what I'm missing or why it is not fetching the details here.

Under Statistics I can see the details of tax. but on SO it does not show tax details. also in tax incl tax it shows wrong amount it should be 2010 amount whereas it shows 2000 only.

I have the same question (0)

Tax comes into play for a sales order at the document and line level. Depending on the tax area defined for the location code. Then tax also comes into play for a sales order at the sales line level. Depending on the tax group that's defined for the sales line. For that one sales line's Item No., what is the tax group that's defined for it? Does that appear to be configured against the tax areas properly?

    Hello ,

This is standard US Sales Tax behavior in Business Central. US Sales Tax is not included in Sales Order totals and is calculated only for information until posting. That’s why the SO shows 2000.00 (net amount), while Statistics correctly shows the tax (10.00) and total 2010.00. “Total Incl. Tax” on the Sales Order does not include US sales tax by design; the tax is applied and shown properly on the posted invoice. Your setup is correct—nothing is missing.

Even i can see the details
Please check whether any customization exists. If not, create a new company, configure the standard setup, and then test the scenario.

This isn't true I don't believe. I just created a new base BC sales order. For a defined customer's location that's associated with 8% sales tax. The sales header indeed properly displays the sales tax. And this is before the document has been posted into a new sales invoice. Screen shot below (i.e. - Total Tax (USD)).

You should be able to use the Page Inspector for a questionable sales order. Looking at the sales header's Tax Liable flag and Tax Area Code value. Also looking at the sale line's Tax Liable flag, Tax Area Code value, Tax Group value, and Gen. Prod. Posting Group value. Between all of those values it should point to why there is no sales tax reflected for the sales line.
