Hi all,

does anyone know how to hide the Dynamics 365 - custom app from the My Apps flyout menu?

I checked under the my apps setting page but was not able to control access on just that one! I want users to only see the Sales App or Customer Service App depending on which department they work in.

thanks for any help on this

regards
Martin

Go to SETTINGS > Administration > System Settings

General Tab > Scroll down to Set options for the default app

Toggle Show default app on landing page and in app switcher to NO

You can also rename the default app here to something a little nicer

Beyond CLAB01's (correct) suggestions, you can also just assign the apps you want people to see to them.

    Hi Martin,

It will be cleaner for you to use the security roles to control this.

Otherwise, the suggestion used by CLAB01 works, but this will turn off the apps for everyone.

Security roles seem a better way if you liked to have the apps for select set of users.

    Hi,

thanks for the replies, and yes the security role setting would be the preferred option, however that seems not to be available for the default app! I can change it for all the other apps. But sadly not for the default app, If there is not another way then "Settings" > "My Apps" to control the security role for the apps:
