Change Unique Name of Instance

Hello Everyone,

I am attempting to change the unique name of my Dynamics 365 CRM instance. I have found where it is located, Developer Resources, but I need to change the unique name since this will be going to production.

Any advice would be greatly helpful.

Hi,

You can't change the unique name - but you can change the display name or the url.

You do this in the Dynamics 365 Admin portal - select you instance - click 'Edit' - this allows you to edit the url and the name:

I know it is an old thread, but recently I have started to play with PowerApps and I'm interested on how to change this "Unique Name" found in Settings\Customizations\Developer Resources.

I have seen that in my company settings the URL and this "Unique Name" are identical. Even the Dynamics 365 Diagnostic will show the company name in the "Organization Info" instead that GUID.

So what is the "catch", how can be done?
