Change the date format of a field in the xml assignment panel

Does anyone know how I can change the date format for a date field in the XML assignment panel?
This is what the word preview looks like:

As you can see, 0:00:00 appears and I want to remove it so that only the date appears.
I have the same question (0)

    We have analyzed your needs, and according to the description of the official documentation, Date and Time Type fields, you can choose the field in /Date Only/ format, which will only not store the time part.

    Additionally, a post on the StackOverFlow forum mentioned that you can use a plugin to convert the date format to your desired format, hopefully this will help you solve your problem.
