cash drop problem on report and receipt

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

when I do Cash Drop,

Problem 1. Cash Drop amount prints under "OUT" on receipt (should print under "IN")

Problem 2. On Z report

                   Paid out amount should be in "( $150)" which means NEGATIVE.

                   Dropped amount is ok BUT

                   the Cash amount and The Total should be "($50)"           { $150(paid out) - $100(cash drop) = - $50}

how can I fix this problems?

    Hello,

    In order to Pay In, you will want to enter -$100 instead of +$100. The Negative shows that you are paying Into the Drawer. It will also show IN on the Drop slip.

    Hope this will help to clear your doubt. Even though amount is negative It will not show as negative in paid out and dropped amount values in zreport.

    Below is from MS help

    Cash pay out

    Whenever you want to take cash out of your drawer, perform a cash pay out. Assume, for example, you want to use some cash in your drawer to buy more printer paper. Because you have not performed an actual sales transaction, you still need to account for the decrease in available cash. You can find the total amount for "cash pay out" in the Z report.

    Cash drop

    You would perform a cash drop for different reasons. Assume, for example, you find that there is a large amount of cash in your drawer. For security reasons, you can take some cash out of the drawer and put it in a safer place (i.e. bank). To do this, perform a cash drop.

    Although the cash is no longer in your drawer, Store Operations will still include that amount in your total sales for the day. You can find this amount displayed on your Z report.
