How to trigger a notification email to the lead owner when a lead is assigned?

Hello,

When a lead or opportunity is assigned to someone, I would like that person to receive a notification by Email or notice via Teams. Is that possible? 

Furthermore, 

In the notification email or message, I would need like to insert the values of some key fields about the lead/opp, for example

- Name of the Lead/Opp  

- Primary contact name and email address

- a web direct link to the lead/opp

    Hello Logan,

    Yes you can send an email with the power automate as well as normal workflow.

    For normal workflow please follow below steps : 

    1. Create a new single line of text field which can be used to store the Record URL.

    community.dynamics.com/.../add-record-url-in-email-template-dynamics-crm

    2. Then you will have to create an email template with the above details.

    3. After that create an workflow which will trigger on change of the owner, use above created email template and make new owner as the recipient. 

    For power automate:

    when using power automate you will not need new field to store the URL. you can directly create using the compose connector.

    Run your power automated flow when record owner is changed after that use send email connector and provide required details in it.

    Note : 

    You can also send this email by using power automate when you have email template.
