Unable to import Permission Sets in Business Central

I am trying to create a new permission set.

I tried Exporting the Permission set from a different instance and without making any changes imported the permission set on another instance. When I do this, I get a message as below,

"The Permission Set table is read-only."

Please let me know how can I get this done.

Regards,

Manjunath D

Hi, I tried to export Permission Set from BC18.5, then import it to BC19.0.

    There is no error.

If you use the Configuration Package, you may get an error, please use the import and export functions on the page.

    Hello,

What type of permission set are you exporting / importing?

    Thanks.

I am using the below BC version.

    Version: W1 18.0 (Platform 18.0.22893.23773 + Application 15.0.36560.36649)

Now, this version doesnt have some permission sets which was available in the previous version. So I am exporting them from BC version 17 and trying to import in BC 18.

When, I try to do this, I get a windows pop was below,

    Hello,

Actually I was waiting for an answer to my question. But I ran the scenario myself and receive the same message for system type permission set. I do not receive that message for user-defined permission set.

You can only import user-defined permission set via import tool.

    Hope it explains the issue.

    Thanks.
