Did Hard Close make it into 7.0 FP1? And if so, does anyone know where to find it?

SL did add their own Hard Close functionality to the Feature Pack. However, it is much more limited than Ironware's version. SL's version will still allow posting into the future. You also cannot set options at a user or group level.
Any chance someone can tell me how the heck I can implement this? I have spent hours looking in knowledgeless base and other areas and have yet to find ANY reference to a Hard Close option. Is "Feature Pack" of those Microsoft terms for "lots of luck finding it in our software"?
If you have the "Feature Pack" (it's actually version 7.5 in sheep's clothing) then there will be an option on the GL Setup page to allow or not allow posting to prior periods or years.
The add-on HardClose is much more complex and flexible, allowing for individual users to be allowed to post back a given number of periods, AND it will prevent forward-posting (so you don't put in 01-3010 instead of 01-2010)

I believe I have seen your name on financial/accounting message boards over the years. That may even go back to the "early days" when I was on a Compuserve dial-up account <grin>!
