When you are using Moving average, you can't change the item cost in the past. The costing method weighted average can support your requirement as it will then recalculate and make corrections as part of the inventory closing job. Moving average has a benefit to not require recalculations and inventory closing, but then there is the side-effect of no option to do any corrections in the past.
