I am working on creating an item approval flow, where before item creation certain fields of an item card has to be populated by people in different departments before finally being approved by an approver in the finance department.
The first person should only be able to populate certain fields of the item card while the other fields remain locked whereafter the person should send the approval request.
The second person should not be able to populate the fields of the previous person, but has to populate some other fields (that were previously locked) and approve.
The third person (finance) should make the final approval.
I´ve been trying to use the Workflow functionality in BC with Workflow User Groups, however I can´t seem to figure out/don´t know if it is possible to restrict specific fields of the item card in an approval process using this functionality. Can this be done standard in BC or e.g. using Power Automate? Or would it require customization in BC and if so how difficult would it be to make?
