How to recover lost data?

I recently changed the owner of a number of Accounts and we seem to have lost all of the call history from those accounts that were created by the previous owner.   Does anyone know if and how we can recover the data that seems to have been lost by the ownership change?

Thank you in advance!

    Hi,

perhaps you can use admin to check the account, if admin can see the call history, probably it is caused by the security role, user does not have enough privilege to see other's people activities. Either you grant the higher privilege or change the phone call owner depends on your requirement.

    Hi twodirtydogs,

check the relationship behavior i.e. Account_Phonecalls perhaps the Assign is set to Cascade All. If so, when you try assigning Account to a different owner, all of the Phonecall's owner of that account will also set to the new owner of the account. To recover the records, you could probably use advance find to look for them, add a condition of Createon or Before you set the Accounts new owner.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Macoy

Download the XrmToolbox and connect to the Recycle Bin plugin.

Run your queries there, eg: all phone call records deleted in the past week.

You will see all the records there. There is a 'Restore Records' which you can use to restore the records!

    Cheers!
