Hello, the version is FR BC19
i have setup items with Used in ; either Purchase or Sales
I was expecting to have only Sales related items available , when select from sales order line
but this is not the case
even after setup used in field, when create sales order and select item on line, i have all items from the drop down list
does someone know if i miss some setups or there is a better way to do ?

I believe this is not possible by standard. It can only be done thru development customization.
What I can suggest is to utilize the use of "Sales Blocked" for sales and "Purchasing Blocked" for purchase and can be setup per item at the item card.
Although you can still see the item and able to select it, When "Sales Blocked" enabled. The system will prevent this item from posting same goes with Purchasing Blocked.
