Does anyone have to fill out customs paperwork for shipments that go across another country's border? Is there a way to generate customs paperwork through Nav2016? Right now we have having to manually fill out customs forms, which is tedious. Sometimes we will have to fill out 7 or 8 forms just for one shipment that is being shipped to another country. We are trying to find ways to make the process less time consuming because right now one shipment's paperwork can take nearly two hours to complete.

Not in standard NAV but you might have to do a customization to create those documents which could drastically reduce the time.

Hello,

On the Item card there is a Foreign Trade section. If you have this section filled out for all your Items, then, when you post a Warehouse Shipment to create a Posted Sales Shipment that has a Ship-to Address for another country, you should also get customs paperwork out of the printer at the same time.

please describe your scenario in more details.

to ship the goods to a different address use ship-to-address on the sales order.

to get custom reports without developing you could goto "custom report layouts".

for special issues you'll need a customized shipment report or a complete new report. for that contact your nav partner.
