Collection Management Action ID Delete

Posted on by 1,035

I want to delete some of the Action ID's in Collection Management that became duplicated over time.  Will there be any negative effects if I do this (via deleting them in SQL table CN00200).  It looks like the ID is also stored in CN00100 so my concern is that there will be a problem if the ID is still in CN00100 but not in CN00200.

I did some tests by just deleting the ID from the Action ID maintenance window and it worked fine.  It seems that the notes are not dependant on the ID still being there.  The only thing you will be missing is the description of the ID in case you used some code as the ID but that is no big deal.

Do you want to delete the Action ID, or the Note?  If you just want to delete the Action ID, you should be able to delete it from the Collections Management Action Maintenance. I you want to delete completed notes, you can use the Collection Purge Utility.
