Hi experts,

I have been searching all along internet. Is there any way to disable extension completely from al code , just as we do (unintall and unpublish) from ext management.

Is it possible?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can manage extensions programmatically using Automation APIs. The Automation APIs provide methods to install and uninstall extensions but disabling an extension (i.e., making it inactive without uninstalling it) is not supported directly through the Automation APIs. Disabling an extension, as done via the Business Central UI, isn't available through these API endpoints. For disabling extensions, you'll need to use the Business Central user interface or related admin tools.

So, in summary: You cannot directly disable extensions via Automation APIs; you can only install or uninstall them.

As Khushbu mentioned, there is no concept of disabling extensions in BC, only uninstall and unpublish.

I'm not sure what you want to do. Generally, the extension contains a settings page, and you can just turn off the function in the settings page.

Hi @ZHU,

As @Khushbu said, One way we can achieve this by automation API's.

As you said, extension contains a setting page, I am not aware of this , is this setting page is standard one or have to be customized . I could not able find any such page except extension setting ( hope extension setting is the one you are suggesting).
