Activating Country/Regional specific features for a second country - AX 2012 R3

Hi,

We have one legal entity whose address is in Canada.  We would like to activate the Indian Country/Regional specific features as well for use in Canada.  More specifically custom tariffs.

We have gone to System administration >> Setup >> Licensing >> License configuration.  Once here, we expanded Country/Regional specific features and checked off India.  After the synchronization completed (no apparent error messages) we restarted the AOS service for good measure. 

The following post indicated that we should navigate to General ledger >> Setup >> Sales tax >> India >> Custom Tariffs.

Only problem is, the India part does not show up.  Is there additional config that needs to be completed before the India Country/Regional specific features will be activated/displayed/unlocked?

    Hi dmike,

    Country region specific futures are activated by legal entity primary address, so in you case your LE is Canada you have all features for Canada but not India, to activate India address of LE should belong to India as well.  

    You can get Indian features for Canada only by removing country region code from objects in AOT and modifying code, or you can add Canada there, but anyway it's a code change.
