Edit in Excel Error

The edit in Excel feature has been bumpy at best.  It wont work from my laptop.  It used to only work from my terminal server, but then it started working outside the terminal server and from my home desktop. All of my logins are from the same account so I dont see why there would be any differences. Now it is broken again even in the terminal server with this error:  

An error occurred while retrieving the row count of entity Item_Card_Excel. Error details: The OData filter expression is not supported. CorrelationId: c6d75fa1-5492-4676-93cd-87c0fbc69798.

I am running BC 19.4 in the cloud.

Any suggestions?

    Can you please check this blog post and follow the steps? Looks like somehow your user or your environment has one the described issue in this article.

    I have had some situation where different security policies on my computer have prevented me from using the edit in Excel function.

    So it can be a good idea to ask your IT department for a list of the policies they apply to your laptop and/ or your terminal server and check if some of them potentially can interfere with the Excel functionality.

    Hi, Is it possible that the two PCs you are using have different languages?

    From the error message, the OdataFilter here did not get the correct value.
