Is support being discontinued?

I’ve been told Microsoft is discontinuing support for SL on 1/1/2024
 
Is this correct and if so, what exactly does it mean?  Will users still be able use the software to reduce financial statements, pay invoices through AP, etc.?

    Microsoft Dynamics SL 2018 support through Microsoft:

    • Mainstream support is available through January 9, 2024
    • Extended support is available through July 11, 2028

    There will be no change to the Microsoft Dynamics SL functionality.
