Installing Web Services on Windows Server 2008

All:

I'm attempting to install the Web Services Runtime from the second Dynamics GP CD.  This is in a Windows Server 2008 Standard 32-bit SP2 environment.  IIS 7.0 has been installed with the appropriate configuration.  In fact, I have successfully installed SSRS for Dynamics GP.

When I attempt to run the install for the Web Services Runtime I get the following error:

Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 with ASP.NET 2.0 must be installed on the computer before installing the Microsoft Dynamics GP Web Service.

I've searched the Internet, as well as the Knowledgebase and have come up short.  By all counts both IIS 7.0 and ASP.NET 2.0 are installed and configured correctly (case in point the fact that I can run SSRS without an issue).

Any ideas?

I'm trying to install Web Services in preparation for the Busiiness Portal deployment.

    You were right on the money.  Unfortunately, I'd already contact Microsoft Customer Support.

    FYI, SP4 is the entire install, as well, which is what we ended up using.

    Instead of using the CD, go to PartnerSource and download the SP2/3/4 version.  I believe the version with SP2 rolled in is your best chance.

    Unfortunately I think the SP4 is just the service pack and not the full install with the SP rolled in, but don't let that discourage you from verifying that yourself.

    I have the same message on Vista and IIS 7.0...
