Force HQ to create a new 401 after an error

Posted on by 1,565

Very occasionally a 401 Worksheet won't complete - it'll get red flagged in HQ and there will be a message in the history tab of that WS "An error occured while attempting to process the worksheet"

I'm wondering if there's a way to tell HQ rather than marking it red and giving us an error message can it simply recreate the worksheet?

The problem being of course that HQ Creates the next 401 for the schedule upon completion.. If it doesn't complete = no new worksheet and that store doesn't get updated until someone notices (sometimes, hours... other times days)

Thanks,

Devon

    Thanks for the reply,

How would I go about creating that job? I'd rather it didn't acknowledge the original so at least we could see that it did happen and investigate if it started to happen more frequently.

Currently it's happening very infrequently.. Once every few months on one of our 9 databases (randomly) If it started to happen more frequently I'd open a case with MS to investigate.

    Thanks,

It could be done by creating a job that copies the worksheet with error and acknowledges the original one, but this is not recommended, as someone should be monitoring the connection event log and take the appropriate action according to the type of error.

On the other hand, u need to figure out why u r getting those errors, and work on fixing them permanently
