    Hi Shabir,

Started is too late to change stuff from a formula quantity change. you can always adjust what you consume and can consume more / less than formula quantity.

    Here is how it works:

    1. Create Batch order and Formula is copied from the item number. The Formula's are now disconnected

    2. Batch order estimated.. if you change batch order formula now, it will ask you for re-estimation.

    3. Batch order started - Picking list Journals are created (or may be posted depending upon the setting while starting the order). At this point, if you change anything in formula, it will ask for estimation / schedule but nothing change on the starting status. it will still show you what you have started (old quantity).

If you want to change the started quantity (assuming nothing is consumed / posted yet, reset the status to previous status and 'start' the order again.

At any point, if you want to see what's going on with quantities (whether it's updating or not), click on the "Formula" button and it will show you how much is formula, how many estimated, started etc. hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Satish Panwar
