Setting all Lines in inventory to zero

Hi i was wondering if anyone knows a quick way of making all items in inventory to zero,

i know you can do it through a stock count mark it as counted as zero, ---- however this is long winded as we have over 1000 sku's

i also know that you can do it through transaction entry and giving it + or - the quantity to make it zero. but for the same reason as above there are over 1000 lines that it will take a long while to complete.

any help would be great

Before setting out to answer this - I have to ask - why you want this done?

Are you just wanting to start over?  Do you have a specific reason?

Why I ask is that the reason will influence how I answer.

Hi Bill it is because i have created a new site, and have basically copied data off a an existing site, my interneions for this new site is to turn on  multi-bins, but want it to be activated with no stock on the system.

If you are going to continue to use the data in the database and simply need to reset the value of items at a specific location to ZERO I would recommend using the application to complete this, since it will update all the tables at the correct time and provide the most complete and secure solution.

I know that you can update the values of XXX inventory table in SQL Server, but the problem is making sure you get all the right tables - some of them are not so obevious and would likely be the ones you miss.

Doing the Stock Count and then recording that you counted ZERO of each of the items will be the best solution - in my opinion.

    Good luck.

    Hi Bill

I have a situation - where I want to start over - i want to zeroise all my current stock inventory items - of which I have more that 2500 - and I will start again with new stock figures.

Is there a way to do this in SQL, quickly?

    Thanks

    Ray
