"Boxing up" child items

Posted on by 2,085

Hi. I know that if a child item is present in the database with a quantity larger than its designated parent item quantity, RMS will "box it up" when a sale of the item is made, converting as many child items into parent items as possible. For example, if you start with 32 units of an item that comes in packs of 12 and 0 units of the12-packs, when one is sold the resulting quantities will be 2 12-packs and 7 individual units. My question is, short of directly manipulated values in the database, is there any way to force this conversion without a sale being made, preferably for all items at once?
