    Hi Allan,

It does help thanks for taking the time to reply . I have realised that Admins tend to load in these XML files via Settings/Templates

and non Admin users tend to create Personal documents and share them.

The problem I have when I look at a previously created Template sitting in the entity added by an admin

    1) The hyperlink in this field "NAME" does not take me to the word document just into the template Body .

2)Where do admin loaded word templates live in the system ?

    Another Question

My colleague worked around this issue of not being able to access the original word.xml by creating a second personal word document and sharing to users

    3) On personal documents I cant see how to go back to an old document and edit it .As it makes me download the file but does not give me an easy way to update it in-situ do you know a way to make this easier?

    Thanks for your support

    Hi Argonaut99

I ran through editing a D365CE template and took a screenshot i.e. I edited an OOB Template in Word, saved the Template and captured the save location ex:

    Save.PNG

Once the template is created in Word, we upload it to D365CE.  I've included a reference as to Use Word templates to create standardized documents article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/using-word-templates-dynamics-365 which runs you through template creation in word as well as instructions has to how to uploade to D365CE.

Once created and uploaded to D365CE, we're able to edit the D365CE template in Word and subsequently save as per above screenshot.

Let me know if this helps.
