Stacked Bar Chart has changed colour

I've had a stacked bar chart that previous worked as normal, but the colours have changed without the chart being edited.

Each bar is a record owner, and the stack is made up of the status of their records. Instead of colouring each status as should be the case, each owner is a different colour. The legend still shows the correct colours, but the corresponding bars don't match.

I don't know how this has happened, nor how to fix it?

We are also seeing this same issue since a few days ago. This is 100% a bug because the legend no longer matches the chart colours. It makes stacked column charts completely useless. I can't believe that this hasn't been resolved already when it is clearly affecting many environments.

Similar issue reported in the PowerApps forum:
Chart colors are not correct on dashboards
Here is the correct link to the Power Apps discussion:
Charts colors are not show correctly

This is the reply they received from MS:
From your issue description, you reported experiencing an issue with the color on the chart not displaying correctly.

Upon further review and investigation of your reported concern, this is currently a known issue and we have engaged the engineering team to revert the charts back to their previous display.

The mitigation for the concern you reported would be applied from the backend and I'll share the update with you.

    Hopefully this is fixed soon.
