I would like to pull in data from an Account into a Lead.
When creating a lead and a Company account selected, it will auto fill the Business Phone and Email.

If so, you need get data through 'parent contact for lead' field:

It is possible that the fields used as triggers and conditions in the workflow are not selected correctly.
If you fill account in the 'Existing Account' field, you should use 'parent account for lead' field on the workflow:
--Trigger field
--condition:
--Update leads:
--Save and active the workflow.

You can use workflow to get data from selected accounts and populate fields on the lead.
but the workflow works after the record is saved.
