Dataverse User Table Sync

Posted on by 215
I have an open environment, meaning that all users are automatically within the environment.
I see some fields are just auto synced from Azure.

I am wondering a few things:
  • Is there a way to add additional fields to sync?
  • Is there a way to detect additions/modifications to azure users that can trigger a flow to update some additional information within Dataverse?

Best case scenario I would like to pull down the Department and Office Location. :)

    Hi,

    For the first question.
    You can create a Power Automate Flow to get the user's information from Azure AD to update the user table record.
    Take updating this user as an example.

    The GUID of the record can be retrieved via Xrm.Page.data.entity.getId();

    The Department field and the Office field need to be added to the users table in advance.

    The run is successful, and the Department and Office fields are automatically populated for this user.

    For the second question.
    Changes to users can be seen within Azure.

    You can create a Power Automate Flow to monitor the user entity record changes.
