Releasing procurement category line items from a Purchase Agreement

Why doesn't the procurement category value come across from a released PO from a purchase agreement?

I can add the procurement category to the release PO and it will deduct from the PA but I don't understand why the procurement category does not carry over to the release PO.

Is this bug in D365?

If I understand correctly you are releasing a Purchase Agreement line (that uses a category) and wondering why the category does not flow through to the PO line? You end up with a new PO header with no lines? What is the Commitment type of your PA?

Yes, that is correct.

The commitment type is for product category commitments

Hello again MM,

Unwanted or undesired behavior but for Product Value Commitment, Product Category Value Commitment,and Value Commitment there is this small print disclaimer at the top of the Release Order form "Prepare the header of the release order in the upper section of this form. If the agreement has quantity commitments, you can prepare the lines for the release order in the lower section of this form. If the agreement has value commitments, you must enter such order lines after you have created the release order".

Its a pain, but at least (!!) on the resulting PO the category that can be added is pre-filtered to sort of limit the choices.
