Is there any benefits of keeping the records of the AsyncOperationBase table. it has over than 7 Million records in my case!!

I realized this when I attempt to import CRM 4.o organization into CRM 2011 which was taking too long

I found some posts from Microsoft that include scripts to free the table.

But I just wanted to make sure no impact in anywhere else

Thank you,

I would have thought that the only reason you would want to keep some of these records is that they will give you the workflow (and async plugin execution) history for each record. The KB article script (support.microsoft.com/.../968520) can be configured to only delete the records that do not refer to workflow history.

In CRM2011/2013 you can mark workflows to delete their async operation record once it has completed - or you can create a bulk delete task to delete them.

    Hope this helps,

    Scott

    Hi Alaa,

The AsyncOperation table keeps history of old asynchronous tasks that were executed (successfully or unsuccessfully) in CRM.

In our opinion, it belongs to the system administrator the decision of the what time range to keep, precisely based on the hardware specifications of the server, because so many million records not only keep space, but also keep CPU time when the async service needs to find a record in the table. The smaller the table is, the faster asyncservice works.

The script you have found can be modified to clean only the records that you want (for instance, the older than certain date, or the ones that finished with a certain status).

    Kind regards
