Federal &State Tax QTD / YTD Information

ReportReport

Hello All,

I am trying to work on an export to streamline some of our tax reporting. I am having a little trouble locating some of the information in the database. I cannot find where the employee's state tax QTD or YTD information is stored. Does anyone know where I can find these?

Thanks

David

    Hi,

For your state taxable wages, you need to look at the UPR30301 table. It's listed there by month. There isn't anywhere in the system where it's QTD, etc. I think that's just calculated at runtime, but I don't have the code so I don't know for sure.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

By month works! I can extract the quaters from there. Thanks Leslie!!

    Fabulous,

I didn't address Federal Tax, that information is in the Payroll Tax Liability History table - UPR30200. Again, you'll have to do the math to get the QTD, etc. information.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Any idea what the MTDWAGES_ Stands for? The state and local columns are pretty self explanitory.

    Hi,

It's how much they've booked in wages for the particular month.

Is it not lining up with your data?

    kind regards,

No I think it is. I amm just looking at the data I need for the detailed wage report.

What do you need to include in your report that you're not finding? Also, what does 'wage' mean to the recipients of this report?

    Kind regards,

    leslie

If you would like I could send you the file specs that might clear up some of the confusion.

Thank you so much for the help Leslie!!!

    Leslie,

The UPR30301 work great for all the state reporting I needed. I just have one last field I am looking for and could use some guidance on it. I am looking for what the tax service we use describes as:

    "Unemployment Subject Wages"

    Their description:

"Total of subject (to unemployment) wages earned by the employee during the quater as defined by the reporting state (also referred to as "total" or "gross" wages.)

Thank you so much for your help!!!

    Hi,

This one is a little trickier in that the actual number is computed at runtime. What you can find is the whether the wages are 'subject to' SUTA, but since you can change the maximum settings at any time, the wages actually included in that minimum aren't stored in the database. Look in the UPR30300 where the PAYROLCD is the state in question. You won't have set up this PAYROLCD, the system uses that code itself.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
