Feature Pack 2.0 Issue

Posted on by 185

After installing Feature pack 2.0 I can no longer open SOADMIN

Runtime error 429

ActiveX Component can't create object

I am on windows 8

Our old computer crashed this morning and I'm trying to get our POS going ASAP.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times as some forums have suggtested this removes the runtime error. Every time it works until I install feature pack 2.0

Help!

This is a late reply and hopefully you have the problem resolved.

Usually when you get an activeX 429 error, it is an opos dll issue.  Try downloading 1.9 or 1.10 opos drivers from the following address and installing.  You will want the CCO Runtime Wise Installer link.

Which OPS drivers you have installed on this... are you using  Epson ?

We had a same issue when using Epson latest Epson opos 2.70+ and NEC pole display driver.

Did you just try to repair it instead of a new install?

Another option is to register the files noted here; mbs2.microsoft.com/.../kbdisplay.aspx

    Must have access to CustomerSource

also if you moved the file  from a recent server etc, it could block your .exe .zip etc.. right-click / properties/unblock...

or else on install some files wont go trough...

I had that happen to me.  As I recall, I had to uninstall.  During re-install, make sure to run the setup file as administrator (right click the file, choose "run as administrator").

    Good Luck!
