Dynamics NAV Issue with SQL Failover cluster

Hello everyone,

We're encountering an issue on one of our client's Dynamics NAV 2016 environment with a SQL failover cluster (SQL Server 2014).

After a failover, the SQL services restart correctly, but the NAV services crash and need to be restarted (It's a Windows Failover Cluster with two nodes SQL services and one database).

We generally use “Always On” technology, which works well, but we have less experience of this type of architecture.
Do you have any feedback on WFC and whether this technology is compatible with Dynamics NAV?

Hi,

Thanks for your answer YUN.

I think there is a misunderstanding, our issue is about Windows Failover Cluster (WFC) and high-availability but not Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) Services.

Hi Cyrille,

in SQL Server, did you set the group listener name when configuring the always-on? and

in the Dynamics NAV 2016 Administration is database server name is set to group listener name? or set to database primary server name?
