Dataverse Search not showing correct result counts

We have dataverse search working but when you search you see incorrect record counts.

See below example from when a search is conducted:

But when I then click onto the "opportunities" tab:

Am I misunderstanding how this should work, or is this a bug?

    Will this be reproduced in multiple environments?
