YTD data not showing for 5 of 6 companies

Hello All,

I am currently using Microsoft GP 2010 and Management Reporter 2012 CU7 to create a Budget vs. Actual report for several companies. Using a reporting tree definition, all companies pull into one report with each company on a separate tab in Report Designer/Viewer.

The problem:
The report should pull both MTD and YTD budgets and actuals but for 5 of 6 companies, only the MTD data is pulling into the report--accurately I might add. For one company, only the YTD data is reporting--accurately again. For those that are reporting only MTD data the YTD data is $0. For the company reporting only YTD data, the MTD data is $0 (for all months).

The question:
How can I command the report to publish both MTD and YTD simultaneously for all companies? See the current column definitions below. I believe the issue would not be in the column definitions as both MTD and YTD are reporting accurately with one company or another.

Any suggestions or insight would be appreciated. If I have not explained my issue properly please feel free to tell me or ask me a question about it.

Background on report structure:
We have entered the budgets for six companies in GP using Integration Manager. In Management Reporter, the Budget vs. Actual report should display the following:

1. Actual MTD 2. Budget MTD 3. Variance MTD

4. Actual YTD 5. Budget YTD 6. Variance YTD.

The commands and formulas are all established in those 6 column definitions. (Columns 3 and 6 are calculation columns based on the data from 1, 2, 4, and 5.)

Having used the same budget name for each company in GP (by design), I have selected the budget ID in the Book Code [column definitions] drop down box for Budget MTD and Budget YTD . Using a reporting tree to establish each company I can see each company as a different tab when the report is generated, plus a tab for "Summary of All Units".

Budget Column definitions:

Header 1: Budget MTD

Column Type: "2014 Budget" = Budget ID from drop down box in that column

Book Code / Attribute Category: BASE

Header 1: Budget YTD

Column Type: "2014 Budget" = Budget ID from drop down box in that column

RE: YTD data not showing for 5 of 6 companies

    PROBLEM RESOLVED.

Thanks again Susan! The problem sort of fixed itself when we uploaded a revised budget across the aforementioned companies which were showing only MTD data. I think it was a consistency issue but I am afraid I cannot identify the exact root cause of the problem as I did not load the budgets myself and the person who did was as shocked as I was that the problem was resolved.

The company that had been showing only YTD data was a test company which likely had a different configuration in comparison to our "real" companies. We uploaded a budget to the real company which this test company had duplicated (with the revised budget name) and all was well--both MTD and YTD data is reporting in MR.

    In response to your comments:

    1. The person who uploaded the budgets accounted for the companies having different segments. So they were lined up properly in the process. Perhaps this was the issue with the first 2014 budget wherein the MTD and YTD data were not both reporting.

    2. We did have the same budget name for all companies both times.

    3. The budgets were not loaded to all companies that exist in our GP system or that are included in our MR reporting tree (either time--with the first 2014 budget or the revised 2014 budget). This seems not to have contributed to the issue as it is working fine now despite all companies not having budgets loaded.

    4. Yes.

    5. No, the cache was not refreshed.

I would vote for the "Budget Name" to be the same across all companies.

    1.  Make sure that all of your Company>>Cards>>Account Format have the segments named exactly the same in all companies.  Seen this happen when they are not all lined up the same.

    2.  Did you give your budget the same name in all companies.

    3.  Did you load the budget in all companies.

    4.  After loading the budgets in each company did you run Checklinks>>Financial>>Budget Master

5  Did you run refresh cache after loading the budget information. (in MR).

If you use the same report layout and only go to one company can you get both MTD and YTD to print
