    Hi Jawad,

You can use N:N relationship between the entities if it's suits for you.

Fore more info please check the link below

    Hi Jawad,

I think it is by design.

For those relationships which are 1:N Relationship in the subgrid the design is to DELETE.

For those relationships which are N:N Relationship in the subgrid, instead, it will REMOVE only or DISACCOCIATE it from the other entity record.

Example in Campaign and Marketing List.

So, this is by design, if you want to remove, it is only applicable in the N:N Relationship subgrid.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

This not have a real sens, because if i have rows that i don't want to delete and those row are mapped to other entity, why should i delete them.

    That wasn't in 2011 like that !!!!

    hi jawad,

    yes, i am with you.

these are new features from ms, which are realy bad and a big step back,

but these are surely only our thoughts.

we could ask in ms connect if others think with us.

    greets pib

    Hi Jawad,

You are correct. For 1:N Relation when you click Delete icon on the record in the Sub Grid it deletes the record rather than just Removing / Disassociating them from Current Record.

On of the Workaround is having N:N Relationship, this will help yo disassociate the record from the Sub Grid.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks

    Jawad,

That is CRM design right now for 1:N Relationship subgrid, different from N:N that will disassociate it.

    Thank you.

    Hi Jawad,

Your concern is absolutely right, most of us also feel the same way.

But currently, its by design;Microsoft might give us a solution in upcoming roll ups

Yah, hope they will give us a solution for that issue.

however when you remove delete from that entity, delete button still there.

now can i remove the delete icon from the subgrid?

    Thanks all for your replay

You need to remove delete rights from subgrid entity

if you restrict the user or team with removing the delete role for the associated entity for which you are showing the sub-grid, your delete button will be automatically hidden for that role but still it will be available to the administrator role and other roles for which delete role is given by you

    Yes Thanks,

That's what i was verifying, the user that had this option was admin, i removed the delete privilege from them until to find other solution.
