Does anyone know where I can get tips and how to upgrade from SQL express 2005 to SQL express 2012 for RMS HP5800 64 bit

Get a copy the Express 64b version of 2012, run it and select Upgrade instead of New. This assumes you are currentky running a 64b version, if not, you will need to install as new.
You can pretty much follow the instructions in my posting of upgrading from 2005 to 2008 posted here numerous times.
