Hi Team!

I am trying to create workflow to automatically create task when new record is created. My workflow seems to be fine but task cannot be created.

    Hi Manish,

The condition says: If field "FollowUp Date" contains data.

This means, only if you fill that field, the workflow will create the task.

I think you need to change the start when condition  to "record fields change".

If you really want to create a Task everytime a lead has been created, you need to change the field.

Or trigger the workflow from a businessflow.

    Hi Manish,

It looks like you want to create Task record when new Lead record is created with the condition If â€˜Follow-Up Date’ field contains data. The task record is only created when specified condition is satisfied. So make sure while creating the Lead record you are setting ‘Follow-Up Date’ field. Also by looking at the screenshot your workflow is asynch so it will take time to create the Task record.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Can you please check process session to know what exactly happened during workflow execution?

    Hi,

    1. As per the condition, make sure Follow Up date has data while creating the record.
    2. I would suggest you to make sure you are setting Regarding field of the task to current lead (so you can see the created task in the Lead's Activities).
    3. Also, Un-check "Automatically delete completed workflow jobs" (for time being) and see how your workflow executed. This will help you to troubleshoot if condition met or not.

Feel free to ask if you are not able to figure out this one.

    Best,

    Wahaj
