Outbound Sorting

Hi all,

We're employing outbound sorting assignments for pallet building, utilizing three sorting positions: P1, P2, and P3. After assigning a position, we assign a final pallet/tub number.

  • My question is, Why cant we use the existing LP?
  • Additionally, is it possible to introduce a number sequence that automatically populates when we assign the sorting position, rather than manually entering it?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you
I have the same question (1)

    Hi,
Your screenshot shows the sorting position assignment that is closed. You can create outbound sorting template. The outbound sorting template determines whether work is created out of the sort location, and whether sorting is done manually or automatically. For more information, you can check out this blog about outbound sorting.

hey I have the same question I think, how does it make sense to sort onto a sorting position if this position needs to have a licence plate? so the relation between position and licence plate is 1:1 so in my opinion the position is redundant.

If i can have several positions on one licenceplate it would make sence, for example if the licenceplate is not a palett but a waggon with several areas on it.

does anyone know more about the background of this feature and if maybe there is still some development open from MS side?

how did you end up solving your problem AJ?
