Sales forecast not recognizing need to purchase RM

Posted on by 1,005

wI setup a sales forecast

I checked my setting and they were correct on the forecast

when I Run MRP I receive an exception message:

Used scheduling pref site for missing default item site.

I had originally imported these items, so to troubleshoot I manually entered and item (FG) and component item, and re ran MRP.  The Request Resolution window will show PO suggestions for the item I manually entered, so I know my Sales forecast is setup properly.

I still get the message on the  MRP Exceptions Report for all other component items that I had originally imported into GP using IM.  These component items do not show as suggested purchases in the R Resolution window either.  However, these components  do show on Workbench

Can anyone give me any suggestions as to what I need to do to make these items show on the Purchase Request Resolution window

thanks

I would look closely at a few of the imported items to make sure all was entered correctly.  Use the hand entered items as a guide.  Integration Manager does not work to Mfg tables.    Double check those.  You will need to use SQL or I have used Import Utility in the past.   My guess would be to look at the Item Engineering window and the Item Resource planning windows.   Also double check the MRP Exceptions.    One last suggestion is to go to Mfg Utilities and run the low level codes.   Put in a number as to how many levels and then add a couple.   That should be a start.
