"My Reports" list not behaving

This is really strange (to me at least).

I have a customer who is running GP 2013 R2. A number of user are accessing GP via terminal services, while others have the application installed locally. I haven't tested the following scenario with the users who have the local client installed yet, so this issue may encompass all users. For now, it definitely effects terminal services users......

When users add a SQL reporting services report to their "My Reports" list, then log out of GP and log back in they get this funky error message (see below), and all of the SSRS reports they've added disappear from their "My Reports" list.

Here's some additional info:

* These users are NOT local admins on the terminal server. However, I am a local admin on the server and I get the same error message when I'm logged in to terminal services as myself and in GP as 'sa'.

* Users are able to run the actual SSRS reports.

* The terminal server is on one box, and SQL/SSRS are on another box.

* Terminal server OS is Server 2008 R2 Standard

Anyone have any ideas? My first thought was that it's related to security on the server because it's never GP's fault :)

Having this same issue with GP2018R2 in a multi-tenant RDS server environment.  We need to keep each customer's report in a sub-folder (multi-tenant) and cannot just put them at the root, if that even solved the issue.  SQL/SSRS are together on the SQL server using SQL16 Std.  Is there any resolution to this?  Being in a RDS environment, we cannot publish IE so they cannot browse that way for reports.  So they need to use shortcuts and cannot.

    Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Just to update that this is still an issue on GP2015 R2. However, I haven't tested this on GP2016 yet.

My previous post was misleading.  The article cited fixed my data source issue.  I still have an issue when adding a reporting series report to "My Reports".  It is the same message seen in the original post.

Found an answer here:  support.microsoft.com/.../954242  - Question 5.  Need to create a read only user because of the double hop from the gp to sql to reporting services.  Please let me know if there is another way.

    Thanks again!

We are running GP2013R2 since the beginning of the year.  I'm just starting the process of deploying reporting services.

  • RE: "My Reports" list not behaving

We opened a support case with MS.

The support engineer noticed that our SSRS reports had been deployed to a subfolder within SSRS instead of the root. After moving all of the reports to the root, that error message has been replaced with another one.

I remember during our phone call the support engineer said that it may be a bug in this specific version of GP. Are you on GP2013 R2?

Has anyone found an answer to this?  I have a similar issue.  No terminal servers involved.  SQL and SSRS on separate boxes.
