RMA for sending wrong item

I need your help in the following scenario. Assume I have to deliver Ketchup but in error by a warehouse worker, he shipped Salsa. Now Ketchup is out physically and financially whereas there is no record about Salsa. Assume later customer calls and complain about this and we need to create RMA for this happening. We need to bring back the Salsa and send the correct item Ketchup. How we can achieve this using the Advance warehouse? I am sorry for such a big question.

    Hi Muhammad, 

    Not sure whether the below will be okay from a finance point of view. However, what about using the following approach:

    1. Create a return order for Ketchup.
    2. Execute this flow via the mobile device or client
    3. Use a disposition code of replace and credit
      1. This to ensure that from a system point of view the Ketchup inventory is being updated as expected and that a credit note can be sent towards the customer. Moreover, a new order for the correct product can directly be created. 
      2. Reason why my suggestion is to run a return flow for the ketchup item is that system-wise the product is not yet there anymore; however, physically it's still there since Salsa has been shipped towards the customer. Hence, this action will ensure that your inventory is correctly being updated again from a system point of view. 
    4. Regarding the receiving of the salsa the system still thinks that that product hasn't been shipped towards the customer. So either execute an adjust out before the Salsa is being received. After this the warehouse worker can use an adjust in to receive the products. Another option is that this salsa product will directly be putaway towards the storage location without any system registration.

    as one item needs to be consumed in other it is a decision point for BOM setup

    if physical inventory of Salsa is not tracked then consider setting up as Phantom
