Hostname instead of ip in client

Hi,

Needed an help, can anyone suggest whether we can use hostname instead of IP in nav client. The issue is we are migrating our server which results in IP change again we need to change the IP address in client installed in individual users laptop.

How about replacing it with hostnames so in future such issue wont happen ?

    Yes, you can if the hostname is properly mapped with the IP.  In fact, it is the best way. Make sure the IP is proper in your configuration, that's it.

    You, of course, have to be careful with your mapping and ClientUserSetting.config.
