you could look into the location and find the flag Pick according to FEFO flag under bin policy. I believe that Lot with earlier expiration date in bin 1 with a lower ranking will override the item with later expiration date in bin 2, which has a higher ranking when a pick is created.

This flag is already true, and its look into expiry as it should, but lets say the items have same expiry, it should prioritize Bin ranking but its not. Its prioritizing package number before bin ranking

package no. tracking might not be out of box for BC, could you check if any extension is used?

No extensions regarding warehouse are used

take a look at the item tracking code for the impacted item and find out what has been set up under package tracking. I don't believe there is logic out of box in BC to influence the picking. Maybe there are lot tracked items in the package? without being able to investigate, it is very hard to guess what is not working as expected.

what will happen if you test by turn off package tracking?

Is there a way to prioritize bin ranking even if theres package tracking

I would guess that can be done only with little customization.

We tried customizing but couldn't figure it out.

lets say we have item 1000 in bin X with bin ranking 100 and package number 10

and we have the same item in bin Y with ranking 75 and package number 9

so when i create pick it would prioritize the lowest package number.

so it would choose bin Y which have lower rank than bin X.
