I've set up an aItem_Des1 for the item description. When printed it correctly displays all 100 characters, but also displays the data on top of the characters making the format a couple lines below the intended space.

Anyone have any ideas?

Woo hoo!

Good for you! Sometimes the Word templates are not as easy as advertised. You need to do a lot of work with Word tables to get them to work as you want to. Bravo in getting all 100 characters on your invoice.

Consider uploading your solution to the 'share your code' section of the GPUG upload area.

Thanks, Leslie. I ended up trashing the modified report in report writer and starting over and somehow the formating is correct now.

I can't really tell your problem from the example. I have done a lot of work with the 100 character issue and the Word Template, so I've run into many issues. Check your text orientation in the table cells. Have you nested the tables inside the description cell?
