I am trying to setup a test and development enviornment for integration between Business Sentral (SaaS) and Dynamics Sales (Saas).
I have created a demo tenant on demos.microsoft.com for Dyanmics Sales and added a BC Trial tenant.
I used the assisted setup to complete the CDS integration and that works fine.
But when i am about the finish the Dynamics Sales integration through assisted setup i get this error:
The import of the integration solution failed. This may be because the solution file is broken, or because the solution upgrade failed or because the specified administrator does not have sufficient privileges. If you have upgraded to Business Central 16, follow this document to upgrade your integration solution: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/admin-upgrade-sales-to-cds
I have tried in several diferent enviornments but i always end up with the same error. The user credentials i use is global admin i Azure AD and is the user i created both the Sales and the BC enviorment using.
The steps in the suggested website does not seem to help me.
And the explenation i get in step 3 "Uninstall the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Integration solution from your Dynamics 365 Sales. For more information, see Uninstall or delete a solution topic." does not seems to help me much. I can't really figure out how i should try to perform that step.
And when i am using the credentials i used to create both the Sales and BC enviornment with i can't really understand that it is a credentials issue.
Any suggestions about how i could get this to work?
I am running a project to migrate all our current business systems to the cloud. We are wanting to have Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Business Central and DevOps. We want the data to be integrated as much as possible so that we have a single point of entry. Employees should be able to view any information about a client in any of the relating applications. Does anyome have any information/experience in doing this that they would be able to share? How feasible is this as an aim?
Hello,
I remember I had the same issue and ended up creating a new demo tenant with Apps (but there was a clear message dependencies were missing). It is good that you raised a support request. Hopefully we will get to to the bottom of this issue.
Thanks.
I did not manually add any apps to the CRM tenant other than a trial for BC SaaS. But if what i really get from the CRM tenant is a OnPrem release of Dynamics Sales and not a SaaS tenant that could ofcourse explain my issues. What is the correct link for creating a Dynamics 365 Sales SaaS trail tenant? I have opened a support ticket.
Hello,
When you did create the tenant in cdx.transform.microsoft.com, did you also install a few apps along with it or did you create the CRM tenant without any apps (completely empty). Could be that we are missing some dependencies here that the solution is expecting to be there.
Are you able to import the solution manually via the same credentials or any solution that you do have access to? The CRM solution is shipped with the OnPrem release though. I do not think you have access to it since you are working in SaaS completely.
Feel free to raise it to us via a support ticket.
Thanks.
