Personalised views using advance find

I have created a personalised view with a large number of Leads using adavnced find and have found that this is then located in the 'My Views' section but I want to be able to share this view with other users, is this possible?

And secondly if the 2nd user deletes/edits records in the view that I have created or one of his own personalised views will the changes then appear in the 'All leads' section?

RE: Personalised views using advance find

    Hi Jonathan,

This is correct. For your first question, just like the previous 2 replies, you need to create a System view that will be getting reflected Org wide. you may create a System view by going to "Settings → Customizations → Customize the System → Navigate to Leads tab under Entities → Click on View. Create a new view

For the Question 2, you may explore the option for Auditing and Audit history that will reflect the changes made to Leads. So, recording the changes to a Lead record, you may achieve it using Auditing. But, once a record is deleted, it will disappear from all views.

Re: Personalised views using advance find

    HI Jonathan,

To share a personal view with other users or teams go to advanced find.  Then in advanced find click on saved views.  In there you will see all of your views.  You can select a view and click share then share with a team or user.

As for your second question -- yes.  if a user deletes or changes a record those changes will appear in all views.  SO if a lead is deleted it will disappear from the 'all leads' view or any personal view that would normally have shown this lead.

You can't share a personal view with other people.

Only system views are visible to all users. If you want to share your personal view, then you'll need to make a system view of it. I believe it's possible to do this via code but it's not so trivial.

Your personal view is a view on the actual data. So if a lead got deleted from the leads, whether that's via your personal view or via "all leads", the lead will not be visible anymore.
