Inventory Item report similar to Item Inquiry

I would like to get a daily inventory report for each item that shows all the summarized quantity information you see on the Item Inquiry screen (e.g. On Hand, Allocated, Available, Sold, etc)

Re: Inventory Item report similar to Item Inquiry

    Hello David,

There is the Inventory Stock Status report which shows the Qty on Hand, Qty Allocated, Qty Back Ordered, Qty On Order and Current Cost. You can check this report out by navigating to the Reports menu option then go to Inventory and then click on Activity. In the Reports drop down list select the Stock Status. There is no available field but you could modify the report in report writer by creating a calculated field that takes the Qty On Hand minus the Qty Allocated to give you the available.

The easiest way to see the On Hand, Allocated, Available, Sold, etc is to use SmartList which you can get to by going to the Microsoft Dynamics Menu option and then selecting SmartList. Once in the main SmartList window expand the Inventory folder and then expand the Item Quantities folder. Click on the SmartList with an "*" as the name. This SmartList shows Qty On Order, On Hand, Allocated and Available. You can add the "Qty Sold" column to the Smartlist.

If you want to add more columns you can click the Columns button at the top of the window which will show you which columns are on the SmartList and you can click the Add button to add more columns or click the Remove button after selecting a column you do not want to show on the SmartList.

You can also print the SmartList by clicking the Print button at the top of the window as well. Another feature is the Favorites button at the top of the window that allows you to save this SmartList with any modifications you made to it and name it whatever you want. After saving it this SmartList will show up under the Item Quantities folder just like the other SmartLists that are listed.

    I hope this helps!

    Best regards,

    Dan Moore
