***NEED HELP ASAP*** Payroll Check Printing Issue - Should display no checks to print, Just comes up with blank screen

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

We're trying to process payroll and we're on the print checks step. We try to print and normally, we get an error message saying "There are no checks to print" But, this time, a blank screen appears. No box pops up and the system sits on that step. I'm afraid that we have a problem with some calculations but I don't know how to check.

Can someone point me into a direction?

Thanks so much!

-Ed

There were items in the work tables. I went through all of the ones UPR102/103 and there was data in them. Since we process payroll via direct deposit, we made a calculated decision to just roll with it and move forward to process. We were able to move past the screen and the print checks screen closed eventually but we're not sure why the message box didn't pop up. We had two consultants look at it and both were speechless. It would be great to know why it happened.

We processed other payroll before and after without issue.

Do you have data in you Payroll Work tables. For instance, the UPR10209 table?
