RM Statement on Blank Paper Template

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I am trying to create a Word Template for the RM Statement on Blank Paper. There is only one form to modify for the RM Statement unlike the Invoice and Return in SOP which have both a current form and an historic form. I printed a live statement to the screen and modified it.  Then I created an .XML file to use for my Word Template.  When I created the .XML file from the Reprint form then the detail of the invoices did not appear on the 'live' RM Statement. The reprint RM Statement doesn't work now.

The word REPRINT is a field labeled Legend1 - it isn't just text.

Thank you for the details on how you fixed the issue.. it is indeed very weird that the report would be produced based on a word showing up on the top of the page, but glad to see that it's working now.

Yes I followed the steps and have created many other Word templates.  I found what my problem was.....I had removed the field at the top of the RM Statement Word Template that says REPRINT.  That field appears to be a trigger for when you need to reprint statements. I recreated the .XML and the Word template.  I hid the REPRINT on the Report Writer form and I moved the REPRINT field to a spot below the date on the Word Template and changed the font color to be white so it wouldn't print. This appears to be working now.

Like I said in my original post, this is unlike the SOP documents that have both a live and an historical Report Writer form to pull from.  The RM Statement only has one Report Writer form.

    Thank you for your reply.

    Hi,

Just to confirm, did you follow all the steps laid out like in this blog post ?

As for reverting to the original report, all you'd have to do is change the security in the Alternate/Modified Forms & Reports and set it back to the default statement..
